Melanoma and defibrillator
I wish this was a creative title related to anything but the two topics, but unfortunately it’s not. This post is a bit depressing. If you’re not in the mood (who ever is for depressing stuff???) just don’t read it.
First the melanoma. My brother in law is a SERIOUS sun worshipper. We’re talking sun worshipping on the scale of George Hamilton. He has even had a melanoma removed before and yet there he bakes at the pool, week after week, year after year! This time it could be a serious problem. Not that melanoma isn’t always serious, but it may have spread to the lymph nodes this time. I am sure this weekend will be hell for him since he has to wait until Wednesday to find out.
Next, the defibrillator. This is for my husband. Yes, he is young (relatively:smirk:). Yes he is healthy. Yes he was cursed with a genetically weak heart. He had mitral valve repair surgery in December of 1999 and his heart rhythm has been a problem every since. What he has done between then and now to try to manage the rhythm is a VERY long story. To cut to the chase, his heart efficiency dropped to a level where he was approved for a new pacemaker/defibrillator called
Insync from Medtronic. We are hopeful that this will make him feel much better…keeping our fingers crossed!

Keeping my fingers crossed too. And a nice large kick where it hurts for your foolish brother-in-law.
I can empathize having been on Rhythmol for years. Good luck to him!
