I think this may be the longest I’ve gone without posting! I have actually had quite a bit going on but nothing really blog worthy. Just same old with working on the store and getting my handpaint mojo on. I really like the way these batches of sock yarn turned out.

My knitting has been a bit off. Now that the weather is good there is more golf and other outdoor activities. Plus, I am at a standstill on the tank I’m working on until I get it onto my longer Denise cable so I can try it on. Maybe I’ll actually do that now.

I absolutely love all the yarn I have been getting for the store. However, I never thought I would be scared of yarn. Ok, not actually scared of the yarn, but scared of failure. I feel like the response to the store has been pretty good given that it’s brand new but at the same time I am watching all these $$$ going out to yarn distributors and advertising and there aren’t many $$$ coming in yet….not that you could ever make a fortune running a yarn store anyway, but it would be nice to at least be even at some point. Enough about my woes! The yarn, oh the yarn. I am especially excited about an order I placed with Henry’s Attic. Wool, silk, mohair, linen, organic cotton, blends…all in natural colors just waiting to be creatively dyed.

I leave you with these…I can hardly believe this monster is growing in my back yard. I can’t really take credit though since it is technically my neighbor’s, but it IS in my yard and is subjected to Jim’s pruning, so I think it kind of qualifies it as “mine”.

I got my yarn this weekend. That was wicked-fast shipping and thank you for the fab fridge magnet!

[...] I can’t fully explain the lack of knitting, but I have a clue as to when it began. Anyone remember the tank I started? Well, I got to a point where I began working on the straps (thus being 4/5 finished) and then hit the proverbial wall. All I need to do is try the $*(@&! thing on and figure out how long the straps should be. This tiny task has fully prevented me from starting any other project. I have no idea why…I’m not a knitting monogamist by any stretch. In fact, there are at least 6 other things on the needles I could work on right now. It’s like this silly tank has put a curse on my knitting. Or maybe some other nefarious knit blogger who I have neglected to read. Yes, that must be it. A curse is really the only way to explain this aberration. I need help. Any potions, pills, verses or acts that will appease the knitting gods and remove the curse? I need help…the voodoo is strong!
