Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should
So, I had this “brilliant” last minute idea for a pattern to submit to the winter Knitty…theme holiday, last minute gifts, etc. My main (”normal”) submission was already finished. Since this one
was a last minute idea, I only had 3 days to design and complete it. In retrospect, NOT one of my better ideas. Clearly a case of “just because you can knit it, doesn’t mean you should.”
I’m hesitant to share my embarrassment with you, but I figured, what the heck. Now that the You Knit What blog is defunct, where is one to enjoy some fug?? Besides, I know quite a few knit bloggers out there who are stressed right now and could use a good laugh. I give you, the “Yarn Tree.” If you must comment, please be kind. I am a lot more sensitive than people think I am.

I think it is cute Seeester!
I wish I’d found your site before I moved out of Cincinnati! Now I’m up in Canada.
Your yarn tree is cute! I don’t think it’s a horrible idea at all.
That’s kitschy enough to attract interest! Well done!
Oh, I think it’s cute! Very clever.
Aww. I think it’s cute!
I think it is adorable!!! With a little tweaking maybe you’d feel more comfortable with it?
I actually like it. But then, as we all know, I drinks a bit …
Oooo uber-cute really!!I just stumbled upon your blog today. Nice work =)
I think your tree is cute - it could be a great toy for a small child, too - it looks so huggable!
I think it is adorable. I may try to knit one up in the future. But I am going to crochet one asap. Thanks for the great idea!
I think this is adorable, and I would completely knit it. If you haven’t submitted it, I would encourage you to either save it to submit later, or post the pattern here.
I like your tree! Was it made of wool? Do you think You would like it more if it were felted? I think that would be cool…
