Blogiversary Contest
Two years ago today, I made my first post. To celebrate there will be lots of yarn given away…and the more people that play the more yarn I am likely to give! I meant to take a picture of the contest yarn before I left to entice you but I ran out of time. There will be a bag of Kureyon and at least one other full bag of something great. Maybe some sock yarn too.
To enter, just leave a comment to this post and tell me what you think makes a good knit blog. What brings you back to your favorite blogs? Is it nice design? Pictures? Funny stories? Interesting projects? If you have a knit blog, consider linking to this post so that your friends will have a chance to win yarn too! :knitting:
Edit: I forgot to add a deadline!
You have until May 31st EDT at midnight to post your comment. I’ll do the random draw as soon as I can after that.

Happy Blogaversary Cheryl!
Good knitting blog? Personality, useful content, good writing, and relationships are the things that keep me coming back. First I read the blogs of people that I’ve met in real life, to keep up with them; then I read the ones I know will always entertain me (like the Harlot); then if I have any time left I peruse new ones, usually found by searching for a technique, pattern, or yarn review.
Happy blogversary! I think there are a lot of components that go into a great knit blog, but I’m personally a sucker for great photography – both of knits and otherwise. Something nice to look at when you’re stuck in an office all day!
Happy anniversary, I’m SO glad you’re with us! Here’s to many more!
I think just a general love of the craft and love of sharing it that comes through keeps me coming back! And a good balance of life/knitting
I have to say that the things that I think make the best knitting blogs are regular updates, pictures, and knitting specifics (yarn, needles, gauge, etc.) :knitsweater:
Happy Blogversary,
For me, it’s not the appearance of a blog that matters or even the content, it’s the obvious passion for all things knitty and the joy of yarn that does it every time. This can be said of accomplished and expert knitters and novices alike and is something all knitting bloggers seem to share.
Well, congratulations again!
Good knitting blog! I read you but haven’t commented before. But…for your blogiversary…one must comment. Good blog: interesting writing style, interesting content. While I prefer to read blogs that are knitting oriented, I think excluding one’s life isn’t a good thing. I like to know more about a person than what she knits. And you know what? Most of the Knitbloggers I read have cats or dogs who are frequently photographed doing cute things with yarn (even if not actually knitting). Plenty of photos are a plus, especially of knitting and cats (or dogs), though photos of special events are nice to see as well. May you live long and blog more! Happy Blogiversary!
:bouncingsheep: I geuss what I like in blogs are regular updates, nice pictures and a little bit of real life from a real person.
Happy 2 years!
I think what makes a good knitting blog is good pictures, a fun mix a projects, and a little bit of personal life thrown into the mix.
Hi good contest! I think a good knitting blog is where i can learn different patterns different stitches and different ideas then what i see in a book. I think a good blog is more personal and that makes it more real. I love pictures of progressing projects and after. Great links to ideas and patterns and also help. And humour is also welcomed thats what draws me to a good knitting blog ..oh and last a good contest  :cheering:
Happy Blogiversary! For me, it’s simple. Pictures, pictures, pictures. I rarely read people’s posts all the way through. I just like to see what they’re doing!
:knitsock: Lots of pictures, sharing of information about what’s going on in the knitting world…being part of the grapevine!
Happy Blogiversary!! Congrats on the 2 years!!
I must say, I’m a sucker for great photos. It’s the pictures that draw me into the blog, but it’s great writing, and good mix of craft/real life that makes me want to come back.
What I like in a knitblog:
Good sense of humor
plenty of knitting content, but not only knitting. I like to hear about the people’s lives.
LINKS!
don’t over do the photos
Happy Blogiversary!
Happy Blogiversary. My personal favorites for a good knitting blog are: lots of pictures, some personal stuff about yourself so we feel we get to know you at least a little, a bit of wit, and an upbeat tone. I’ll take the occasional rant and rave, but the blogs that are more about the B in SnB than the S are too much of a downer for me. Here’s hoping to many more years of blogging for you!
Happy Blogiversary!
I use a feed reader (google reader), so, nice design of the blog does not matter to me, I rarely go to the original site (only if a post is particularly interesting/appealing to me, in order to comment).
Good pictures are definitely a must, and interesting projects.
And it helps if I like the overall “tone of voice” of the blogger.
Hi, Cheryl–in spite of my own lack of posting, I find regular, weekly (at the very least) postings are an element of many of my favorite blogs. It’s also nice to see a picture in almost every post (but not on overly high resolution settings which can take longer to load). I tend to stay away from blogs that are very mean in tone.
Have a lovely weekend!
Congratulations on the two years! What draws me to a knitting blog in the first place is knitting content – posts of WIP’s and finished projects with descriptions of what worked or didn’t work, discussions about pros and cons of working with particular yarns, and sometimes descriptions of technique. What keeps me going back is the continuation of the above interspersed with personal stories (knitting or non-knitting) or humor. Good writing, a not overly fussy design, and regular posts really help too!
What keeps me coming back to the blogs I like is the writing style. If the person comes across as sincere and “real”, as if she’s talking talking to me one on one. I don’t like the super trendy blogs, I guess because I’m the anti-trendy (though you wouldn’t know it by the stuff I’m posting lately).
Another thing that keeps me coming back is a good mix of subject matter. I very much enjoy it when bloggers not only share their knitting, but other passions and pieces of their life, and I get to laugh or cry right along with them.
Hey, you know AZ’s just one state over…just so you know
Happy Blogversary!!!! :knitting:
I think what makes a good knitting blog are many things… good pics, great sense of humour, anecdotes, what’s best that knowing we are not alone in our knitting messes and triumphs…
A good knitting blog has a mixture of knitting and personal stories. I especially like when people admit their mistakes because Lord knows I make plenty. Happy Blogiversary and by the way, I got my Angry Girls bag (so quick!) and love it!
Happy Blog Day!
Oma La sent me.
I like knitting blogs that offer a chance to get to know the author as well as see what they are knitting. A peek into someone’s life in another part of the world is a lovely thing. People with a sense of humor are always a plus. Then again, I’m a weirdo, so that might be why. *L*
Happy Blogiversary! I hit my two year mark not that long ago.
I think a good knit blog contains well written posts and pics to go with the posts. Not every post has to have a pic though.
What’s a well written post? Something that’s heartfelt, speaks to me and engages me as a reader.
I love to learn something new from blogs, so I appreciate when knitters share their mistakes, or post photos of things they’ve “unvented.” Humour is always good, of course.
for me, a blog site that is clean, not too busy, ads are okay if they are pertinent to the subject(s) of the blog, interesting, well-written entries, interesting, well-organized links and tags are good, easy navigation. Good photos, or at least engaging photos too. Now that I have blog reader, it makes keeping up with people who might be irregular posters no problem.
Happy happy! I’ve only been blogging for a few months- I can’t imagine where I’ll be with my knitting two years from now. I love humor, enthusiasm, and regular pictures. While I’m a rather political person in my offline life, sometimes I shy away from knit blogs that get political. And while I have a mouth like a sailor, I prefer blogs that attempt to avoid unnecessary profanity (necessary profanity, of course, is cool by me!).
I was commanded by her Royal Highness the Blog Queen to put in a apperance here, and since I am such a sycophant I rushed over to appease her. I need HUMOR in the blogs I read and lots of clever patter ‘cuz my life is so doggone dull I NEED to live through others! Knitting is good and books and movies and bizarre stuff always gets me back for second helpings. Yeah, weird is very good……..
:bouncingsheep: Happy blogiversary! Developing a sense of connection is what brings me back to my favorite blogs.
what makes a good knitblog? lots of pictures that make me want to knit what i’m seeing. and humor. hapy blogiversary! here’s to wishing you many, many more!
I’m a sucker for personality and wit. I get drawn in more when a perosn is willing to open up a bit about themselves, it makes reading along feel a bit more like community. I also like some good pictures…of knitting of nature of something interesting to the author, whatever, i’m not picky! Most importantly i do love the knitting content. I like to see what others are making, hear about their knitting experiences and i learn a lot from other people’s tips and how-to’s!
I end up not going back to blogs when their ends up being too much “splash”. If it looks chaotic to me, i’m likely to not go back.
Happy Blogiversary! What makes a good knit blog?? Oy, hard question. Good writing and good pictures are the most important. That sounds stupidly banal until you read a blog with BAD writing and/or pictures. The amount of actual knitting content doesn’t matter so much, but I always appreciate it when people share information about the process. Oh, and good sources for yarn.
Happy Blogiversary Cheryl!! Congrats on #2!
You don’t have to send me any yarn but what makes a “good” blog for me is first and foremost knitting that challenges me. Yes, I’m not adverse to the odd warshcloth now and then but if that is all you knit, I ain’t coming back. I want to see interesting techniques, not the 6th pair of Jaywalkers you’ve knit. Intelligent writing and a good sense of humor are important and a glimpse into that person’s world so that I know a bit more than just that they knit without it becoming a “here’s my personal life and oh I knit once in a while and about once a month I remember to include a pic.” kinda blog.
I also love blogs that have collected every cute emoticon know to the blog universe!! :inlove:
Congratulations on 2 years! I think a good knitblog never forgets why it started. Regular knit related posts, lots of pictures and lots of helpful information. Oh and the use of capital letters too. I hate the bloggers that insist on not capitalizing anything. Grr. Argh.
:knitsock:
I tend to be drawn to those that are updated fairly regularly, sometimes I prefer them with lots of pictures and sometimes I don’t, sometimes I’m looking for the projects, sometimes I’m looking for the stories, but in the end, I think I really have no specific idea what draws me in!
Happy blogiversary!
I have found so many knitting blogs recently, and my favorite ones are the ones that photograph and report all their progress pretty regularly. I am a fairly new knitter, and I get a lot of inspiration from seeing the progress of the more experienced knitters’ projects. And, I also love looking at the yarn. Oh, the yarn…
Happy Blogiversary from a fellow Blue Chipper (transplanted)! I think a good knitting blog has decent pictures with good lighting, interesting content (doesn’t always have to be knitting) and regular, but not necessarily daily, updates.
Happy blogoversary! I look for humor, good writing, new knitting ideas/free patterns, and–lately–pictures of babies! Congrats on two years!
HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY!!!!! :bananaance:
My list of blogs to read just keeps growing. There are so many good ones. Humor in all aspects of their blog, about knitting, about family and about life in general. I have given up reading newspapers, they are not as much enjoyment as the blogs.
Happy blogiversary!
It’s hard to say what makes a good knit blog because I read each one for different reasons. Some have great pictures, some have wonderful writing, some always come up with fun projects. I don’t need all of the above in order to read any particular blog (writing needs to be legible, with some attempt to use punctuation, but it doesn’t need to be perfect). Some share a lot about other parts of their life, and some only post about knitting and other fibre crafts – either way can work for me. I guess the only thing they all have in common is that they seem friendly.
I don’t tend to worry too much about design as long as it’s easy to read.
Happy Blogiversary!
1. Good knitting
2. Good writing
3. Good people
Those are what keep me coming to a blog…and I love finding new(-to-me) blogs like yours. Keep it up!
Happy Blogiversary! To me a good knitting blog has some knitting, the odd entertaining story and pictures….
Such a great question…I think I am strongly attracted to bloggers who are also very talented knitters, it’s inspiring to see what they create, and I’m amazed at how fast some finish projects. I also appreciate good, humorous writing, and tend to not like the ones that post every day with a lack of anything to say.
Happy Blogiversary! I would have to agree with a lot of the people about humor – humor keeps me coming back. Stories about knitting, stories about life, pictures of yarn, pictures of projects…. they help teach me more about knitting. And I love the sharing of dreams – dream projects, dream yarns, etc.
I think the best blogs have a pretty balanced mix of knitting and personal stuff. Us readers like to think that we are friends and that the obsessive blog reading is not isolating and weird, but happy time spent with friends! Plus, if we get to meet in person, we really are friends. Love your stuff, Bev in Oklahoma
I like to read blogs which are updated regularly, have pretty pictures, and interesting projects. I like a blogger who writes in a individual voice with a good sense of humor.
:knitting:Yeah, Congrat’s on your anniversary. For me I return to the blogs with: humor, knitting content, actual real people – not Stepford Wives type, and of course pic’s.

:knitter:
What brings me back ?…great pictures of the knitting but also locale [ and cats if possible ]
… occasional patterns or great links
…witty or self deprecating humour
and I’ll tell you what looses me pretty quickly: Blogs that are poorly disguised shopfronts. I don’t mind Blogs with a discreet Shop presence but I can’t be bothered reading ones that only exist to sell.
a good knit blog for me:
funny/interesting, pictures of knitting, pictures of life that is interesting (ie: kids, gardening, travel, food etc), design, process of learning something new–spinning, crochet, dyeing, first socks.
i think the pictures keep it interesting–sometimes i see a lot of writing and i want to scroll down to see something interesting.
some people even put random pictures in the midst of talking about knitting–which is fun too!!
happy blogversary.
Happy blogiversary. I think it’s a combination of knitting projects and cute stories that draws me to certain blogs. I love seeing what everyone is making; inspires me to try new things. But I’m a sucker for pictures of little kids. They are so cute and full of spirit.
Happy Blogversary! What keeps me coming back is a writing voice that sounds like a good friend. Cat pictures and funny stories don’t hurt, either!
Of course knitting pictures and stories are always appreciated, but I also love to hear about peoples’ families, pets, etc. For those bloggers I visit regularly I feel like I know lots about them… not in a stalking kind of way. :knitting:
Happy blogiversary! I keep coming back to knitting blogs that have great pictures that are large enough to see without having to click over to flickr or to a separate screen. I love it when people have an interesting voice and bring some wit and humor to their blog. It helps to have a great layout that’s easy to view. I like it when people have project galleries with project details or at least links to the details.
You know, I’m with Chris – once I ‘get to know’ a blogger, I go back every time.
Also, some nice photos and knitting content, of course, and a bit about themselves – that rounds it out nicely.
I enjoy blogs that give me a real sense of the person – her pets, her music, even her politics – as well as her adventures with yarn. Photos of knitted socks and lace are a plus. Cats are a plus plus!
:bouncingsheep: Happy Blogiversary!
Generally, if the blog is written by someone I know I’ll read it no matter what, but mostly I like reading poeple who are witty, humorous, well-written, and occasionally share some deeper stuff. These blog authors really have a “voice” of their own that comes through. Pretty pictures are nice, but not the main thing. Otherwise it’s people who share their experiences, occasionally adding tutorials or free patterns.
Happy blogversary, what I like in a blog, of course is what you are knitting, especially if done in a different color or tweaking than the original, showing another idea and creativity. Photos of the city and interesting things in your part of the country, and if you have another interesting hobby that you share with us.
Happy blogiversary! I love knitting blogs with great pictures. Which is funny because I can barely get my act together to get pictures on my own blog. And also blogs with dancing chile peppers, those are cool too.
Happy blogiversary! I add blogs to my blogline that have in progress and FO photos and have a bit of wit to their writing.
I continue to come back to my favorite blogs for the knitting content and the good writing. So many people are great writers and I enjoy the different ways in which people express themselves.
Wow! Two years! I think a good knit blog has good pictures, interesting projects and words that you don’t stumble over.
Happy Blogiversary!
My favorite blogs tend to have a combination of things: good layout, well written, clear photos, and a few other intangibles.
Happy Blogiversary!
As a new knitter I also appreciate blogs that have pictures to inspire and helpful information to guide. Of course it’s almost as fun to meet other people through the blogosphere as it is to knit. I love feeling connected to people all over the world who have the same obsession I do.
Happy blogiversary! I come back to favorite blogs for several reasons: good stories, progress pictures–I love seeing what people are working on, and some intangible something that makes me feel a connection to the writer.
I think a good knitting blog has LOTS of yarn pr0n, funny stories and lots of love to all!!!
Happy Blogidi-versary!
What makes me come back to a blog is knitting content, humor, pictures and project inspiration. My knitting is not that advanced, so I love to see projects to aspire to, as well as the ones I don’t want to take on! LOL! I also like frequent posts and a person who seems “real.”
I love blogs with pictures, and blogs that give you a feel for the author (as opposed to just an inventory of FOs).
And link! I really like seeing what other people are reading, where they shop, etc.
:bouncingsheep: Congrats on your blog anniversary. I return to blogs that have interesting projects and that show somehting about the person behind the blog. :knitguy:
Happy Blogiversary! What brings me back? Pictures of projects, projects I think I might like to do or admire for various reasons (so if somebody is say, crocheting an afghan out of red heart…well, I may not come back!), chat where I get some sense about the writer. But mostly? I think it may be that the writer acknowledges that I’ve taken the time to comment! This lets me feel like I’ve actually made a connection, that my voice was heard. There are some popular blogs that I enjoy, the writers are funny, but they’ve never sent an email back, commented in the blog that I commented, or commented on mine! So I don’t read those as much anymore. I mean, I get it with Yarn Harlot, but, still, I’d like to hear back once and a while from the others. So, I like to blog for a sense of community, to get to know some people, so I tend to visit those that are back and forth with me the most!
What keeps me reading a knit blog??? I like the stories, the pictures, if they have patterns or where to get the patterns. And of course contests!!!!
Happy blogiversary!
It depends. There are some blogs I come back to because of the pictures, others because I got to like the knitblogger as I read about her, and others because the projects are very creative.
One thing I love are reviews: yarn reviews, project reviews and book reviews!
Happy Blogiversary! Well, I like blogs with an interesting “voice” – many have said this already, but it’s true! I like to feel as if I’m getting to know the person whose blog I’m reading…and I love seeing photos too – especially of knitting and cats. And being a good writer helps (which is why I wouldn’t read my own…!) – as well as having something “different” about the setup – I’ve had trouble personalizing my own since I really have no time for that sort of thing. Well, there you have it!
What brings me back is good content…meaning funny stories, an outlook on things that I can relate to, interesting projects and of course visuals/pictures. I think just a good combo of all those things gets me hooked. Good luck with your contest!
Happy blogday to you! :bouncingsheep:
I’d maybe have started off saying that I like blogs that make me chuckle, I like blogs that encourage new ideas, but you know… I’ve been catching up on my reading, and I think what I really enjoy most in a blog is simply a feel of cameraderie. Some of them have patterns, some of them talk about their kids or their cats, some talk about travel to places I’ll probably never see. For someone that grew up feeling as shy as I did, it’s totally amazing to be able to start off with one common thread and find out that, magically, that thread knits up into so much more. Maudlin enough for you?
Of course, that’s not to say that I’m not also drawn to sites that offer patterns or make me laugh and all…
It’s a little bit of everything – knitting, photos, the total package. But mostly, it’s personality.
Happy Blogiversary!
A good knit blog has a clean and easy to read design that is pleasing to the eye. The knitting content has something that inspires me with liberal use of sharp and well lit photos. I like the writing to be humorous as reading blogs is a form of entertainment for me.
Mostly, I like a simple blog with lots of pictures!
I go back to blogs where, in no particular order:
1. I feel a kindred spirit feeling for the content and the personality of the writer as it comes through in the blog.
2. The bloggers are RL friends – another way of keeping in touch.
3. The projects the person is doing really appeals (at the moment this is true of some fairisle sites I am reading). In this case pictures are probably important.
4. The writing is thought provoking.
5. The writing is funny.
6. The topic is interesting to me.. (books, knitting, life in interesting places…)
Any one of these factors, when well and fairly consistently done, can get me hooked on a blog.
Happy Blogiversary!
There are a few things that keep me coming back to a blog… I like clear pictures, a not-overly-fussy design (too busy hurts my eyes), and posts with personality. Not just “here’s my new sock”, but “here’s my new sock… and here’s what I thought of it… and here’s what else I’m doing…” Just showing FOs doesn’t grab me.
May you celebrate many more blogiversaries as time goes by!
I was sent here by Chris at Stumbling Over Chaos. I like good knitters who are interested in the why of knitting: why something works, why use a certain yarn, why choose a particular bind-off, that kind of why. I am learning to knit and to appreciate knitting from these people. I’m with the majority in that I like to know something about the person. Good writing. Good stories. Cats. Dogs. A positive outlook on life. No bitching and moaning.
When I read a blog, I want to be entertained and inspired. Some links, but not too many. Some photos. Give credit where it’s due. Cute cat or baby pictures are good too.
I also like to read blogs of knitters local to me. :frogging:
happy blogiversary! i think good stories and pictures make a good blog! i love seeing and reading what people are doing!
Happy blogiversary! I’m so glad I discovered you. I think my favorite things to read about on knitting blogs are WIPs, including problems encountered and how they were solved. I also like bits of the persons life, and a sense of humor is nice!
I like to read about people’s lives as much as there knitting. I also like the really funny ones. The ones where people aren’t trying to be witty or angry or funny. They aren’t trying but that’s just the way they are. I also like the blogs where people write like they speak. Not too flowery or showy, just normal people having a conversation with friends.
Happy Blogiversary! What brings me back to certain blogs are, good writing (which I struggle with on my own log) sense of humor, an honest and open spirit and FREE PATTERNS (kind of kidding but not). What has brought me to lots of blogs are patterns (free or not) that the author has written and CONTESTS (not kidding). I am even running a contest until June 4th right now on my blog with a stitch marker give-away prize (please join). It is also really important that the blog is easy to read font and background and I love a really well organized blog. I am impressed when people know how to do all the technical things with their blogs as i barely know any.
Happy Blogiversary! I keep going back to blogs with great pics and who either inspire me to be a better kitter or who knit the things I’m dreaming of being able to knit.
Whoohoo! Happy Blogaversary…what brings me back? Good photos, gorgeous projects and yarn, a piece of the person (what they’ll allow) to get the personality, and of course, it helps if there are cute cats…but that’s not mandatory!
Hmmm..these little smilies are great, too!
:bouncingsheep:
(((hugs)))
Happy blogaversary!! I have to say what brings me back to a blog the most is one that is nicely designed and easy to read. The second thing is beautiful photography….and then funny stories.
Happy Blogiversary!!!!
I think the thing that keeps me stalking…ahem..I mean visiting back to so many blogs is being able to see so much creativity in knitting, choice of colors, patterns, etc. I also enjoy getting to know so many folks from their posts which contain personal info, funny stories, etc. I have made so many wonderful friends!!! Also a great source for pattern sharing, trouble-shooting, etc!
Great contest idea!!
I tend to read blogs that are well-written, have nice photographs, and/or the blogger is generally nice or upbeat. If the blogger is always negative, that will be a turn-off.
Happy Blogiversary!! : )
Happy 2nd birthday! I enjoy a blog writer who talks about 1)her likes/dislikes of the pattern chosen, 2) her feelings about the yarns chosen and 3) has nice photographs of the finished product. Also, a bit of humor in the writing is also a very good thing.
:bananabeer: Congrats on your 2 year blogiversary!
What brings me back time and again? Hmm… I love to read about what yarns other people are using, and what they think of them; I like lots of photos, of course; it’s good to read about mistakes others have made—not because I’m mean  , but to get tips on avoiding similar mistakes—especially if they’ve managed to successfully fix them.
Happy Blogiversary! I save blogs to my favorites and visit many daily…It has to be visual for me! Lots of photos of yarn, projects, cats, whatever. I like a blog that also has a sense of humor and talks about things other than just yarn and knitting.
Happy Blogging
Happy Blogiversary!
A clean design style with plenty of good photography will usually keep me coming back. So much about knitting is visual, without good visual content, a knitting blog just wouldn’t be all it could be. And an upbeat conversational writing style is definitely another plus!
May you live to blog many more years, and knit a few too!
Happy knitting-
ali
Amazing how the lurkers come out for free yarn, huh?
I look for someone who has a similar style as I do, so I can get some suggestions/ideas for future projects. Good writing is a must as well, and I tend to stop reading blogs with really short (or long) posts. I also like to have some idea of the REST of their life.
I like to learn about the blogger. They become like friends. Some bloggers I just don’t get a long with, so I don’t go back. I look for humor, pictures, stories, things that resonate with me – much the same as I look for in my friends. You seem like a pretty cool chick, so you’re in my Favorites list to check a few times a week. Glad to meet you!
Happy Blogiversary! Christene at SheepsPyjamas sent me. This contest is like a public service. I’m really enjoying reading what your commenters have to say. I like blogs that are mostly knitting content with plenty of good pictures. Pictures of knitting and yarn, of course, but I like pictures of pets and nature, too. I love good writing with a sense of humor and sincerity. Content of the blogger’s personal life intriuges the voyeur in me, but it’s not completely necessary. Some blogs I like because I feel like I’d be friends with the blogger if we met in real life and some blogs I go to simply to be inspired and entertained by the knitting, photography and writing. And when it’s my bloggy friends who inspire and amaze me, I’m in heaven.
I go back to knitblogs for entertainment, instruction, and inspiration – people who have really nice pictures of good projects, people who are funny, and people who share their experience to help others knit (or whatever) better. I find that positive blogs (such as Zeneedle) are really good. I try to follow “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all” on my blog.
Happy blogiversary!
I look for some good knitting content, with clear pictures. The knitting doesn’t have to be perfect; I can often learn more from mistakes and recovery from them. I like opinions of different yarns, since I’m always looking for something new to try. Fancy website design isn’t important, just a nice, clear, large enough font, not too cluttered. Colored and special fonts are hard to read. Humor is good, or content that shows some personality from the blogger. And I love links to sites I haven’t seen.
And congrats on your blogiversary.
Oh, and pictures of pets are always fun – I love critters.
