I look for some good knitting content, with clear pictures. The knitting doesn't have to be perfect; I can often learn more from mistakes and recovery from them. I like opinions of different yarns, since I'm always looking for something new to try. Fancy website design isn't important, just a nice, clear, large enough font, not too cluttered. Colored and special fonts are hard to read. Humor is good, or content that shows some personality from the blogger. And I love links to sites I haven't seen.
And congrats on your blogiversary.

I go back to knitblogs for entertainment, instruction, and inspiration - people who have really nice pictures of good projects, people who are funny, and people who share their experience to help others knit (or whatever) better. I find that positive blogs (such as Zeneedle) are really good. I try to follow "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" on my blog.

Happy blogiversary!

Happy Blogiversary! Christene at SheepsPyjamas sent me. This contest is like a public service. I'm really enjoying reading what your commenters have to say. I like blogs that are mostly knitting content with plenty of good pictures. Pictures of knitting and yarn, of course, but I like pictures of pets and nature, too. I love good writing with a sense of humor and sincerity. Content of the blogger's personal life intriuges the voyeur in me, but it's not completely necessary. Some blogs I like because I feel like I'd be friends with the blogger if we met in real life and some blogs I go to simply to be inspired and entertained by the knitting, photography and writing. And when it's my bloggy friends who inspire and amaze me, I'm in heaven.

I like to learn about the blogger. They become like friends. Some bloggers I just don't get a long with, so I don't go back. I look for humor, pictures, stories, things that resonate with me - much the same as I look for in my friends. You seem like a pretty cool chick, so you're in my Favorites list to check a few times a week. Glad to meet you!

Amazing how the lurkers come out for free yarn, huh?

I look for someone who has a similar style as I do, so I can get some suggestions/ideas for future projects. Good writing is a must as well, and I tend to stop reading blogs with really short (or long) posts. I also like to have some idea of the REST of their life.

Happy Blogiversary!
A clean design style with plenty of good photography will usually keep me coming back. So much about knitting is visual, without good visual content, a knitting blog just wouldn't be all it could be. And an upbeat conversational writing style is definitely another plus!
May you live to blog many more years, and knit a few too!
Happy knitting-

Happy Blogiversary! I save blogs to my favorites and visit many daily...It has to be visual for me! Lots of photos of yarn, projects, cats, whatever. I like a blog that also has a sense of humor and talks about things other than just yarn and knitting.
